At the same time, I have submitted my own articles for consideration, but so far they have not been selected for publication.
I do not raise this as a complaint. Rather, I think it is worth reflecting on the distinction between being welcomed as a participant in an intellectual community and being given an opportunity to contribute as a published author.
My perspective comes not only from reading and analysis, but also from direct field experience. I believe that international relations benefits when academic and professional discussions make space for both established scholarship and informed perspectives developed through experience.
I will continue to participate in the discussion and contribute where I can add value.
